WHAT IS CZECHIA FAMOUS FOR

BEER IS A BIG DEAL

No matter which global beer survey you come across, the Czech Republic sits on top. Czech people are the world’s heaviest consumers of beer. They drink more beer per capita than any other nation in the world. The first pale lager, Pilsner Urquell, was brewed in the Czech city Pilsen in 1842. If you ask most Czechs, they don’t put beer in the same alcoholic category with wine and spirits. It deserves a special category all to itself, and beer is a matter of national pride.

In the 2019 Global Peace Index, the country has placed in top ten safest countries similarly to previous years.
